Example workflows
Two practical decisions, with steps from each product’s documentation.
You want to distinguish reaching a signup page from completing a registration.
How to decidePirsch fits configurable website goals with metadata filters. Jelto fits goals and visit funnels alongside dedicated desktop adoption reports.
Register a completion event as a goal, then compare its Unique visitors and Completions. Add the relevant page and goal to a website funnel when you need ordered progression.
Jelto goals and funnels guideIn Pirsch’s goal settings, choose a path pattern, an event, or both. Event metadata can narrow the goal to a particular registration type; selecting the goal filters the dashboard.
Pirsch conversion goal instructionsYour checkout records purchases and you want to understand their value over time.
How to decidePirsch Plus fits custom numeric metrics attached to events. Jelto fits supported provider payments and aggregate channel attribution for a software business.
Connect a supported payment provider or use the Payments API. Configure checkout attribution and read the revenue and purchase totals by channel.
Jelto revenue guideSend an event with a numeric amount and currency metadata. In Pirsch Plus, add a custom metric to the conversion goal and filter by currency to inspect its total and average.

For software teams, the next question is what happens after installation.
Website visits and app installs are not joined at the individual or marketing-channel level. Download to Install compares period totals; it is not a person-by-person conversion funnel. Read the app metric definitions.
Make the move
Map the Pirsch events and goals you use to the actions you want to report in Jelto. Install Jelto, verify campaigns, and configure your website funnels. If your product includes desktop software, add its SDK and allow time for retention cohorts to mature.
Keep access to your existing history. These steps set up new collection; they do not import your Pirsch reports.
Before you choose
Pirsch’s documentation places custom metrics, including revenue totals and averages, in Pirsch Plus. Compare that offering with the Jelto plan matching your pageviews and monthly active installs, and verify your intended payment integration.
Yes. Pirsch offers developer libraries and APIs, as well as website integrations. Compare the reporting you need with the collection options for your particular stack.
Retention needs elapsed time and an eligible cohort. D1, D7, and D30 reports become meaningful as installs reach the day being measured; a recent cohort is not evidence of zero retention.
There is no Pirsch history import in this setup. Keep historical reports or exports available, and verify new Jelto collection before changing your existing installation.
